South Park has often managed to up the ante in every realm of shock comedy. My question is: what do YOU think was South Park's darkest moment? The best measure would be something you were amazed that they got away with, or unsettled you (if you consider yourself jaded).

Mine was when Eric made Scott Tennerman eat his parents. This is clearly a high note that the creators are aware of, as they have referenced it several times. Nevertheless, the pure evil that oozed from the screen as Cartman licked the boys tears was blew a hole in my mind that the rest of my conciousness has been falling into ever since. This is definitely one of television's signature moments.

Anyone else care to weigh in?

Yeh i have to agree with you on the Scott tennerman one. That was defiantly nasty lolz.
Also in the episode lil crime stoppers when Stan Kyle Cartman and Kenny were telling there view to the old lady of how her pie was stolen. That was kinda dark biggrin.gif

Scott Tenorman indeed, but the Christmas Critters were pretty nasty as well. They look so innocent and cute and everything, until they say thanks to Stan for killing that lion, and then add 'Hail Satan!'. It's exactly that unexpectedness that makes that a very dark episode IMO.

I'm very much alone in this, but I thought TSST was the most twisted episode ever.

i'd say the woodland critters as well, because it reminds us that though cute, looks can be deceiving...it's the hidden darkness that is scary

The scott tenorman and the lil forest critters are some of the darkest episodes lol.

But the more hardcore one for me is imagination land, the "landing beach scene" with mc donalds guy looking for his arm !
